An award winning historic renovation of a multi-family apartment building at 2122 Locust Street in the Rittenhouse Fitler Historic District. Originally known as the Charles F. Gummey House (designed by Baker & Dallett and constructed in 1899), the building was destroyed in a fire and required a complete interior rebuild.
The building renovation retained much of its the original Georgian Revival style and many interior features such as the beautiful first floor fireplace with original paneling and stained-glass windows in the stairwell. We also had the original door from the 1899 building re-created, and the mosaic floor in the entryway restored.
