Brick & Mortar restaurant is an indoor sit-down restaurant in the ground floor of a recently completed 13 story residential tower. The theme of the restaurant intends to reference the post-industrial character of the Callowhill West neighborhood in Philadelphia. A noteworthy landmark “The Reading Viaduct” is in the vicinity and from which some inspiration is drawn. Hints of the orangey veneer on rusting steel, and aging green patinas on protective copper flashings were juxtaposed with vibrant graffiti on the industrial building skeleton.
