Congratulations to IS-DG Principal, Ian Smith, on his election to full membership with The Carpenter’s Company. He was officially welcomed into the Company on Monday, January 23 at Carpenters’ Hall. The Carpenters’ Company is a 300-year tradition in the City of Philadelphia, with their members ranging from architects, building contractors or structural engineers. From the 18th-century, whose members who erected Independence Hall, Christ Church and Carpenters’ Hall to the members of today, innovation in design and technical achievement have contributed to their stellar reputation. Current members include Scott Erdy (Erdy McHenry Architecture, LLC) and Denise Scott Brown, Hon FAIA (Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates, Inc.), both of whom Ian has had the pleasure of working with over the years.
