Ian Smith, a member of PhilaNOMA, the local Philadelphia chapter of The National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), invites you to visit the organization to learn more about this platform and ways to become a member. The national conference is on the East coast this year, being held October 16-20, 2019 in Brooklyn, NY.
PhilaNOMA works to provide visibility to practitioners of color in the profession of architecture, in addition to helping disadvantaged emerging architects to find pathways to success.
PhilaNOMA principles closely relate to IS-DG’s core values. The organization “strives to provide a voice for design professionals who previously had little say in the development of Philadelphia’s communities. PhilaNOMA is committed to enhancing the profession of architecture by promoting diversity in practice and by maintaining an active role in the education of aspiring designers.”
