Roxborough Street Envisioning

Lyceum Avenue is an entry way into the neighborhood of Roxborough. As a promenade, it is very much appreciated for it’s physical characteristics. Many of our proposed additions emphasize it’s current use as a recreational conduit combined with its openness due to the street’s wideness and minimal traffic

Our primary function was to improve its presence and feeling as a gateway by introducing pedestrian linkages, ornamental fencing, extension of brick pavers in the sidewalk, and additional flowering trees. Our secondary objective was to improve its function as a place by including Bicycle parking, center island strips, temporary parklets. Neighbors provided interests in removing bus idling, increased plant growth in back yards, additional ornamental street lighting, with seasonal amenities.
