We are incredibly proud to announce that Ian Smith Design Group LLC played a role in bringing one of the most anticipated cultural landmarks of our time to life — the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, IL.
Our talented colleague Susan DeAngelus represented IS-DG in a remarkable achievement: the graphic design production coordination for this soon-to-open monument. Working in close collaboration with Civic Projects Architecture, Ralph Appelbaum Associates, and kubik maltbie, Susan meticulously set up print files for over 700 exhibit panels spanning five floors of museum exhibit space.
Her work ensured that the design communication and imagery were arranged with coherence and clarity — allowing the emotional weight of the exhibits to land with the elevated intent they deserve. Every panel, every layout decision, every detail was handled with the care and precision that a project of this magnitude demands.
The Obama Presidential Center is more than a museum. It is a monument to justice, service, and the enduring pursuit of a more equitable world. We are honored that IS-DG’s work is woven into that story.
Congratulations, Susan. You made us proud.
